Sheriff’s Detectives Arrest Calhoun Couple For Meth Trafficking, Firearms Offenses, Receiving Stolen Property

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports: 

On Friday morning, February 12th, Sheriff’s detectives went to an apartment complex on Newtown Road near Calhoun to serve warrants for the arrest of a local man. The warrants, from both Gordon and Floyd Counties, charged the man, Steven D. Roebuck, age 46, of #4, 265 Newtown Road, with Violation of Probation, and Failure to Appear in Court.  Roebuck was located and quickly arrested without incident. A search of Roebuck’s home yielded a large quantity of methamphetamine for resale as well as related paraphenalia, and loaded handguns. The other occupant, Amanda Michelle Shelton, age 33, of the same address, was taken into custody without incident as well. Detectives also located an ATV (‘4 wheeler’) on the curtilage which had been reported stolen from Murray County.  Both Roebuck and Shelton have been charged with: Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Firearms Offenses, and Receiving Stolen Property. Both defendants are lodged in the county jail pending bond.
