Deputies Arrest Local Man For Drug Trafficking and Weapons Offenses
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
At about 11 a.m. Saturday morning, May 21, a deputy sheriff patrolling Cline Road near Resaca stopped a suspicious automobile for a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the automobile revealed a large amount of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, a handgun, and other weapons. The driver and sole occupant, identified as one James Walter Faulkenberry, age 59, of 125 Waterwheel Lane, Calhoun, was arrested without incident at the scene. Faulkenberry was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, firearms related offenses, and traffic offenses. He is in jail awaiting judicial proceedings.
