Atlanta Area Man Charged With Burglary of 9 Storage Units Near Fairmount

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On July 8th deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a commercial storage unit facility near Fairmount concerning several units having been burglarized. Detectives assigned to the case followed  leads which led them to recover stolen property at a pawn shop in Fairmount the next day. The investigation progressed in conjunction with authorities in a number of other jurisdictions in Georgia and Tennessee, and  led to the arrest of Justin Ursel Folds, age 20 , of Ellenwood, Georgia by authorities in Hall County, Georgia. Gordon County Sheriff’s detectives have issued arrest warrants charging Folds with 9 counts of 2nd degree burglary and 1 count of theft by deception regarding the events near Fairmount. Most of the stolen property has been recovered and returned to the rightful owners. Detectives assigned to the case believe that Folds may have been involved in incidents ranging across a wide range of jurisdictions in several states. He is currently being held in the Hall County Jail.
