Calhoun Man Arrested For False Imprisonment, Battery, etc.
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
On Saturday morning, April, 11th, 2015, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to Charmin Circle near Calhoun in response to a report of a woman having been assaulted. Sheriff’s detectives initiated a joint investigation along with special agents of the local office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) into the matter, collecting physical evidence and interviewing witnesses. Detectives and GBI agents executed search warrants at the location of the event, as well as for electronic evidence. On Friday morning, April 17th, Logan Kenneth Jeffords, age 19, of 310 Charmin Circle was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office and charged with False Imprisonment, Battery, and Criminal Damage to Property. Investigating officers understand that the victim in the case is an acquaintance of the defendant. Bond will be set at a later date.
