Woman Arrested For Burglary, Vandalizing Private Residence

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

At approximately 6:40 pm Friday, June 13th, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a private residence on Nelson Lake Road in unincorporated Gordon County in response to a report of a naked woman having vandalized the home. Deputies arrived at the residence within  minutes and met with the home owner who told the officers she’d arrived there to find  the interior of her house vandalized and a naked woman inside. The deputies went inside and searched the house until they found Suzanne Hussain, age 34, of a Calhoun address, hiding inside a closet. Ms. Hussain was in fact nude, and was acting abnormally, but was taken into custody without further incident. The house was extensively damaged, including having been flooded. The property owner was not acquainted with  Hussain. Deputies summoned emergency medical personnel to the scene to evaluate Hussain, who was then transported to Gordon Hospital. She was released from the hospital a short time later whereupon she was arrested and charged with Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property. Investigating detectives do not have a motive for this event. Hussain is in jail pending bond.
