Deputies Arrest Local Man on Drug & Weapons Charges
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
On Tuesday, September 25th, deputy sheriffs, acting on a tip, conducted a search-pursuant-to-probation conditions at the home of Douglas Scott Taylor on Old Rome-Dalton Road near Sugar Valley. Deputies discovered and seized methamphetamine and a number of firearms. Taylor, age 40, of 2396 Old Rome-Dalton Road, was placed under arrest without resistance and lodged in the county jail. He has been charged by deputies with Possession of Methamphetamine and multiple counts of Felon in Possession of Firearms. At the time of his arrest, Taylor was serving a probation sentence for a December, 2013 conviction for a methamphetamine offense.
