Deputies Arrest Michigan Man For Thefts From Automobiles in Dews Pond Community

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

At approximately 6am Saturday morning (July 26), deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a number of closely grouped private residences in the Dews Pond community in response to reports of thefts from a number of automobiles. A witness reported seeing a white male, dressed in dark clothing, in the vicinity near the time of the thefts. Deputies searched the surrounding area and a short time later stopped a suspicious white/male at a nearby convenience store. A search of this man’s belongings revealed property taken from a number of the victims. Deputies arrested Skyler James Kratohwil, age 17, who gave his address as “homeless” but formerly of Michigan, without incident. Most of the stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful owners. Kratohwil was subsequently charged by Sheriff’s detectives with 20 counts of second degree burglary (auto burglary) and is being held in jail pending bond proceedings.
