Detectives Charge Dawsonville Man in Connection With Multiple Commercial Vehicle Burglaries

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On May 12th (2014) deputy sheriffs were dispatched to Flying ‘J’ truckstop in Resaca in response to a report of several commercial vehicles burglaries. Detectives at the scene found that 5 commercial utility vehicles had been burglarized and that power tools valued at several thousands of dollars had been taken. The Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit collected a variety of physical evidence at the scene, including blood believed to have been left behind by the perpetrator. DNA analysis of this blood sample led detectives to Robert Clayton Salvador, age 36, of Dawsonville, Georgia. At the time that the detectives learned of Salvador’s identity last week, he was actually in the Dawson County jail on similar charges. Detectives here have obtained arrest warrants charging Salvador with five counts of Burglary (of a vehicle) in the 2nd Degree.
