Veteran Deputy Passes Away Thursday Night After Long Illness
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Announces:
“It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Sergeant Craig Henson, a 21 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office. Craig had fought a long battle with cancer, and passed away Thursday night. He served this Office and the citizens of Gordon County for over 20 years of his life, and was both liked and respected by his peers. Craig performed in a variety of roles during his career, and as a supervisor, he carried out his duties seriously and conscientiously. I had the opportunity to work alongside him here for many years before he was my deputy, as well as in the last 6 years, and he was a dedicated public servant. He will be missed. Please keep Craig’s family in your thoughts and prayers.”
