Winter Storm Warning in Effect For Gordon County
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Advises:
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for Northern Georgia including Gordon County from 4 pm Friday afternoon (February 20) through 1pm Saturday afternoon (February 21). Snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected, and accumulations of up to 2 – 3 inches are anticipated. Roadways may become hazardous or impassable. Accumulations on trees and power lines is also likely, and may result in power outages. Residents are urged to be prepared for the storm, to monitor the National Weather Service and/or local media outlets, and to avoid travel if roadways become treacherous.
