Ranger Man Arrested For Aggravated Child Molestation

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On January 28th, 2016, the Sheriff’s Office received a report concerning allegations of child molestation involving a small child in the Ranger community. Sheriff’s detectives initiated an investigation that same day which resulted in the arrest of Joshua Jerry Broome, age 34, of 612 Taylortown Loop, Ranger. The molestation is believed to have occurred between 2014 and 2015. Broome was arrested without incident at the Sheriff’s Office and charged 4 counts of ‘Aggravated Child Molestation’  and 5 counts of ‘Child Molestation’. On January 30th, a Gordon County Magistrate denied bond for Broome, who remains in the county jail.
