Deputies Make Major Methamphetamine Seizure, Resaca Woman Arrested For Meth Trafficking, Firearms Offenses

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

Yesterday afternoon, in the culmination of a meth trafficking investigation spanning several months and involving the Georgia Department of Corrections (DoC), Gordon County deputy sheriffs searched a private residence on Midway Road near Resaca in unincorporated Gordon County. The search resulted in the seizure of several pounds of processed methamphetamine valued at over $70,000.00, as well as four firearms. Two of the firearms had illegally altered serial numbers. The deputies arrested Pamela M. Head, age 56, of 1138 Midway Road, Resaca, without resistance. Head was jailed and charged with: Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, Felon in Possession of Firearms, and Possession of Firearms During the Commission of a Felony. No bond has been set.

Sheriff Ralston said, ” This investigation involved a significant amount of man hours and resources by some very determined officers. The combination of methamphetamine, firearms, and convicted felons is a dangerous mixture and our Community Watch Unit did a fine job handling this case. I also want to recognize the Georgia DOC personnel for their assistance with this investigation. This defendant will now face a Gordon County jury.”
