Sheriff Notes Passing of Former Commissioner & Community Leader Charlie Ralston
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
“It is with great sadness that we take notice of the passing of Mr. Charlie Ralston. Charlie was 87 years old and a native of Gordon County. He was a farmer and longtime resident of the Ranger community. He was known as a hard worker in whatever he undertook. Charlie was a veteran of the US Air Force, and a leader in his community. He was a private pilot, and served Gordon County as a county commissioner from 1997 through 2000 where he had a reputation for fairness and honesty, and was well liked by both the public and the county government staff. Charlie and his late wife Jackie were both good friends of mine and fine people. As I know the same is true of many folks, I will miss him a great deal”.
