Sheriff’s Auxiliary Youth Football Clinic Held Saturday, August 8th in Calhoun

Sheriff Ralston and the Sheriff’s Auxiliary hosted its 7th Annual Youth Football Clinic on Saturday, August 8th at the Calhoun Recreation Department. There were 55 boys between ages 6 and 12 in attendance along with 30 coaching staff. Representatives from all 3 area high schools along with active players from several colleges were on hand as coaches. The participants received instruction in running, kicking, punting, passing, obstacle course navigation, along with the general rules of the game. The instructors also emphasized the merits of mental and physical conditioning, maximizing individual potential, patience, self discipline, persistence, good sportsmanship and good citizenship.
